Tippmann Model 98
Retailed for $199.00
Released in September, the first marker to sell over a million units using a die cast aluminum receiver construction which lowered the weight and cost but maintained the Tippmann durability. This design became a standard as the rental marker at most fields, introduced more players to the game. Production stopped in 2000 and started again in 2001 for Wal-Mart. In the picture shown marker has a RT trigger and was required to have the factory install this upgrade because body milling was required for install. Also shown with aftermarket stock. Several on display at the museum including serial numbers:225538, 112376*.
